Buckwheat hulls are a popular choice for filling textile products such as meditation, yoga, and sleeping pillows, mattresses and other products. Buckwheat hulls are sturdy and elastic, so they can adapt ideally to the shape of your body providing support exactly where you need it. They also perfectly regulate body temperature due to air circulation. Buckwheat hulls are non-allergenic and they do not attract dust mites and other microorganisms. It should be noted that dust mites and other microorganisms do not breed only in roasted buckwheat hulls, so when buying buckwheat hulls always inquire whether the hulls are roasted or raw.

MULCH

No matter you are a professional gardener or just an owner of a small garden near your home, mulching is great for your lawn and plants for a number of reasons. Buckwheat hulls mulch is lightweight and has an elegant uniform texture, permeable to water, non-toxic to animals, as well as it is a reliable weed barrier. Buckwheat hulls retain soil moisture, they do not get moldy and are an excellent organic mulch material suitable for mulching roses, vegetables and other perennials, as well as for decorating gardens and flower beds. Buckwheat hulls mulch should be spread on the soil in 2.5-centimeter layer   to keep soil moist and allow the soil to breathe. Even a thin layer of mulch can trap moisture and protect from weeds. Both for textile products and for mulching, buckwheat hulls should be roasted, otherwise they might germinate.
